Music From A Thousand Miles
~ Lin Sisters' Violin Concert "Music From A Thousand Miles" ~
On 12th and 13th, violin sisters, Christabel Lin and Natalie Lin, will perform in Taichung for their solo recital, "Music from A Thousand Miles," and "New Year Recital" with Taichung City Symphony Orchestra. Although only aged 21 and 17, Christabel and Natalie have won many international competitions already. Besides working with different orchestras, they both have participated in chambers consistently. The mayor of North Shore City, George Wood, once praised Lin sisters as "the Treasure of New Zealand."
The concert repertoires include Sonata for Violin and Paino by Ravel, Duets for Two Violins Op. 99 by Haydn, Carmen Fatasy Op. 25 and Navarra for Two Violins and Paino Op.33 by Sarasate.....etc.
Music Park invites Lin sisters along with their mother to talk about their musical learning. Throughout the conversations, Lin sisters insisted on speaking in Chinese. They not only share the love for violin music but also show the love for the native country, Taiwan.
